From: Pat McMann
Dear Friend in Need,
Are YOU overwhelmed with the pressure of demanding bills that are due now and- you have no way to pay them? Are you caught up in a temporary situation and see no way out?
Are you worried about what will happen if you don't get the bills paid?
Well, take heart.
Tough times fall on us all. Even when you've done your best and tried your hardest, sometimes life just gives us a tough break.
The good news is there is help available for you. You just need to know where to find it.
That's why you'll be very excited to hear about the incredible information I'm sharing with you ...
Read the information below if you need help with Rent. This will give you a beginning list of resources.
How and Where to Look
for Assistance with Rent
If you have bills that are due now, or are even past due, then you must take immediate action.
Most often, the bill that becomes most critical for people is the rent.
When the landlord is threatening eviction, you may feel a sense of desperation and panic.
You need to try to clear your thoughts so that you can think clearly.
So, take a breath and let's walk through this together.
If you need emergency help with Rent:
First...
1. Talk with the landlord.
- Let them know that you are seeking assistance. Tell them that getting this bill paid as quickly as possible is important to you as well as to them.
- This will let them know you are acting in good faith and are not ignoring the problem.
2. Ask them if they have any assistance programs.
- If they do, use them. You may be able to make payment arrangements for the current bill, and/or get discounts on future bills.
- If you have small children or someone ill or elderly in the house, let them know. This may give you priority consideration.
3. Let them know you will get back with them in a few days.
Next...
4. If you belong to a church, contact them and see if they can help you.
- Many churches have emergency funds to help members. Call them.
Then...
5. Call a local Catholic Church.
- Many Catholic Churches try to help anyone in the community. Ask them if they can help.
6. If they cannot, ask them for the number for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul AND the number for the local Catholic Charities.
And Then...
7. Call the local Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
- They are a lay Catholic organization dedicated to helping the poor in the community. They will do all they can to help you. Since they only receive funds from donations, they may or may not have the funds you need. But they will meet with you as soon as possible to discuss your situation and will do whatever they can to help.
- If they don't have funds this month, they might have some next month.
- Ask them for referrals to other local agencies that might be able to help you.
8. Call Catholic Charities and schedule an appointment.
- You do not need to be Catholic to get help from them.
9. Contact the local Salvation Army.
- Their funds may be limited, but they may be able to help you with part of the money that you need.
10. Contact the local United Way.
- In many places you can get them by dialing 2-1-1.
- Many companies and organizations partner with United Way to provide needed services.
You may need to contact several places. If you cannot find all that you need from one place... you may be able to get part of what you need from several different places.
Then put those "pledges" together to get to the total amount. (Many places will pledge what they can. That means that when you can let them know that you have enough pledges, they will send the amount they pledged.)
There are other places that offer help. These will probably be the quickest for you.
Remember...
Times are tough for everyone right now. And that includes Agencies and Organizations.
Start planning for next month's bill. Take a look at where you are spending your money. Cut out whatever you can (like eating out, cable bills, impulse spending, lottery tickets, grocery items you really don't need, gas for trips in the car that are not necessary, getting nails done, etc). Look at everything.
Save those pennies and pay the bills first. Try to not get in the same situation next month.
Then ... remember those that helped you. There are many other people that also need help, and they are trying to help them as well.
Charitable organizations get their money from donations from good people.
When you can, remember them. Pass it on. Donate what you can to help others facing the same kind of challenges you are facing. You know what it is like. This is how we all help each other.
My name is Pat McMann. I'm an RN and have been helping people for over 30 years.
Among other things, I have been a hospital Director of Nursing and a Nursing Home Director of Nursing. I have been an Office Nurse, Medicare nurse, Home Health nurse, and Director of Medical Servics for Managed Care. That means I have worked with a lot of people having difficult times.
Over the years I have noticed that when tough times fall (for any reason), financial problems become a time of panic and desperation. Most of us don't expect that this kind of thing will ever happen to "us" and get totally overwhelmed.
It seems that when you need help the most, it is the hardest to find. But you need it quickly!
That's why I have researched and prepared information that you need - so you can get help - fast.

Times are tough for everyone right now. And that includes Agencies and Organizations.
You may need to contact several places. If you cannot find all the help that you need from one place... you may be able to get part of what you need from several different places.
When you can, remember those who help you. Pass it on. Donate what you can to help others facing the same kind of challenges you are facing. You know what it is like.
This is how we all help each other.
I have faced some very good times in my life, and also some very tough times. I know exactly where you're are coming from . And I can help you find the kind of help you need when you need it.
In all my work with my patients and clients, I was appalled that there was no place to go to be able to find help quickly.
I spent hours and hours trying to find exactly what I was looking for.
Like me ... you've probably asked yourself:
... Where do I turn?
... Who can help?
... How do I know where to go for help?
... What do I need to do?
... Where do I start?
I know that the landlord, the electric company, the phone company ... won't wait while you try to figure out what to do. They want their money - and they want it now.
That's why I have done this work for you.
I have the important information that you need to find what you need - NOW.
How and Where to Look for
Financial Assistance for Unexpected Needs
Sometimes "Life Happens".
Things seem to be going along okay, at least making ends meet, when all of a sudden something hits you from out of the blue and rocks the boat; maybe even capsizes the boat.

- You can contact them at (617) 625-7080 or www.accion.org.
EL PUENTE FOUNDATION

- You can contact them at www.netwish.org.
WAYS TO WORK
- They provide small loans (up to $4,000) to low-income parents who cannot get loans elsewhere
- The purpose of the loan is to help family members pay for unexpected expenses that could interfere with their ability to keep a job or stay in school.
- Approved applicants make monthly loan payments over a two year period at no more than eight percent interest.
- You can contact them at (866) 252-7171 or www.waystowork.org.
There are other agencies and organizations that help. This will give you a start.
Remember that there are many others just like you who are facing difficult times.
Many organizations and agencies are facing major challenges trying to be of help because the need is so great.
When you are back on your feet, help them out as much as you can. Pass it on. This is how we help each other.
But don't just take my word for it.
Listen to what others have to say.
This would have saved me hours of time and a lot of $$ spent on gas

What the Bill Collectors Don't Want You To Know!
There are plenty of things that the collection agency doesn't want you to know, because, if you were aware, you'd be less likely to fall for their scams.
Many people make the mistake of believing that the only people who get harassed by collection agencies are people who don't pay their bills. This is a stereotype that is quite untrue.
Many collection agencies don't really care if a debt is legitimate or not, they just want to collect the cash. Some agencies know for a fact the debt isn't legit, yet they still continue to harass the poor debtor.
The debt collection industry offers big profits which attracts a lot of unethical agents. There are more than a handful of bill collectors that will go to any length to collect a debt and earn their commission. Even breaking the law!
Collection agencies are not your friend. They are not looking out for your best interest.
Debtors that don't know how collection agencies work can pay up to 60% more than they need to!
Revealed here are the resources, secrets and tactics you need to DEAL WITH THE COLLECTORS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.
(Value $79.00)
BONUS #2:
Are Payday Loans A Financial Hazard or Your Lifeline?
Payday loans can be a lifeline in an emergency, if you have no other options.
Millions of people today are looking to Payday loans to help solve their temporary financial problems.
They are easy to get, but you can just as easily get hooked into the questionable tactics of the payday loan business.
Robin borrowed $200 and planned to repay it when she received her next paycheck. However, at the end of 6 months she had paid $720 in fees and still owed the original $200!
The interest rates on payday loans range from 300% to over 1,000%.
The payday loan business is a hugely profitable business.
Here's the inside information that you need to know to be able to AVOID THE PITFALLS AND HASSLES OF PAYDAY LOANS...(Value $67.00)
BONUS #3:
The Dangers of Debt Consolidation
More and more people are seeking help, getting debt consolidation loans, hoping to get out of debt as soon as possible.
With debt consolidation, instead of paying off some, and disregarding the others, you get to pay just one flat rate every month and that's it.
Sounds wonderful, right?
"DEBT RELIEF IS JUST A CLICK AWAY!"
"CUT YOUR MINIMUM MONTHY PAYMENTS BY 50% OR MORE!"
"SLASH YOUR INTEREST RATES DOWN TO ZERO!"
These promises are incredibly alluring to anyone who is caught in the quicksand of having too much consumer debt, and who will believe anything, do anything to make it go away.
BUT...
Do you know which companies will take your money and not even pay anything toward your debts for as long as 6 months?
Did you know that any debt amount over $600 that is forgiven will be reported as income and will be taxed by the government?
Did you know that 70% - 78% of Americans who consolidate their debts end up in worse shape with the same amount (or even higher) debt in 2 years?
Do you know why many debt consolidation companies are under investigation by the FTC and the IRS?
Do you know how to weed out bad consolidation companies?
Today, overburdening debt has grown to epidemic proportions, and the tightening of the bankruptcy laws have made getting out of debt even more difficult.
The problem is that while a debt consolidation loan is a good option for some people, it can also often be misused, and all of a sudden most people find themselves in a worse predicament than they were before.
AVOID the DANGERS of Debt Consolidation and SAVE THOUSANDS of dollars!
